This Privacy Policy explains how Cuporo, operated by HATAM TECHNOLOGY TRADING COMPANY LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit our store, place an order, or contact us.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Information

HATAM TECHNOLOGY TRADING COMPANY LLC is responsible for the personal information we process to operate Cuporo and manage our customer relationships.

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify also processes personal information to provide its platform and certain enhanced services, as explained below.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your interaction with our store, we collect the following categories of information:

Contact and delivery information: Your name, email address, telephone number if provided, billing address, and shipping address.
Order information: Products purchased, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, shipping charges, order history, and purchase confirmations.
Delivery and payment records: Tracking information, delivery updates, cash-on-delivery collection status, payment amounts, payment methods, and relevant transaction references.
Refund information: Account-holder details and bank account or routing information reasonably necessary to arrange a bank-transfer refund.
Customer support information: Messages, return requests, photographs you provide, and other information needed to address an inquiry.
Device and shopping activity: IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, general location inferred from your IP address, pages and products viewed, cart activity, and interactions with our store.

Providing certain information is necessary to process an order, deliver a purchase, or arrange a refund. Without it, we may be unable to complete the requested service.

3. Sources and Uses of Information

We receive information directly from you, automatically through our store and Shopify, and from providers involved in delivery, payment collection, refunds, and customer support.

We use information to:

Process orders and arrange delivery and payment collection.
Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and service notices.
Handle returns, refunds, and customer inquiries.
Maintain necessary transaction and accounting records.
Protect against fraud, unauthorized activity, and security incidents.
Operate, maintain, and improve our store.
Meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Support Shopify services described in this policy.

We currently send only transactional communications concerning orders, shipping, and customer service. We do not currently send promotional emails or marketing text messages.

4. Shopify and Network Intelligence

Our store uses Shopify, and Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled.

Shopify processes information about visits, purchases, and other interactions with our store. For its enhanced services, Shopify may combine this with information about interactions with other merchants and Shopify to support functions such as personalization, analytics, and advertising-related services.

Information submitted to our store and information about shopping activity are shared with Shopify and relevant third-party providers, including parties located in other countries.

Shopify processes some information on our behalf to operate the store. For certain enhanced services, Shopify determines its own processing purposes and acts as a separate controller or business under applicable privacy law.

5. Cookies and Advertising-Related Processing

Our store and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as security, shopping carts, checkout, and store operation. Shopify services may also involve analytics, personalization, and advertising-related technologies, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

We have not separately installed Google Analytics, Meta or TikTok advertising pixels, or other additional analytics or advertising tracking tools. Shopify’s own processing and Network Intelligence remain active as described above.

Certain advertising-related disclosures through Shopify may qualify as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws. Information involved may include online identifiers, browsing and shopping activity, transaction information, and related preferences.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect store functionality.

You may contact hello@cuporo.us for assistance with privacy choices, including applicable opt-out or consent-withdrawal requests. Visiting the store, placing an order, or accepting our Terms of Service does not by itself constitute consent to optional processing where separate consent is legally required.

6. Who Receives Information

We disclose information as reasonably necessary to:

Shopify and supporting technology providers for store operation and the services described above.
Delivery and collection partners for shipping, delivery communication, and COD payment collection.
Banks and refund providers to arrange and verify refunds.
Communication and support providers to deliver transactional messages and respond to inquiries.
Professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for legal obligations, accounting, security, or legal claims.

Information may also be disclosed in connection with a lawful business transfer or restructuring, subject to applicable privacy protections.

Refund bank details are used for arranging and verifying refunds and maintaining necessary records, rather than for advertising.

7. Cash-on-Delivery Payments and Refund Details

Our current payment method is cash on delivery, with cash or card collected by an authorized delivery partner.

Card payments at delivery are processed through the collecting partner and its payment providers. We receive information needed to confirm payment and resolve transaction issues.

For bank-transfer refunds, please contact customer support for instructions. We request only the account information reasonably necessary to arrange the transfer.

We will never ask for your online banking password, PIN, card security code, or one-time verification code.

8. Legal Grounds and International Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and customer support subject to your rights, or rely on consent where required.

You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing completed before withdrawal.

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Shopify and relevant providers operate. Privacy laws may differ between countries.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply. Information about Shopify’s processing and transfer arrangements is available in its Data Processing Addendum.

9. Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, refunds, customer support, required records, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Retention periods depend on the information involved and the applicable requirements. Refund account details are retained only as needed for the refund and associated verification or recordkeeping obligations.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and limit access according to business needs. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

Access or obtain a copy of your personal information.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements.
Receive information in a portable format.
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Opt out of covered sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
Limit certain uses of sensitive information where applicable.
Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request or complain to a relevant authority.

For requests requiring verification, we may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to applicable authorization requirements. We do not require an account to submit an opt-out request.

We will respond within the deadlines required by applicable law and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Our usual 1–3 calendar-day customer support response timeframe refers to an initial response and does not replace legal deadlines for handling privacy requests.

11. Children’s Information

Our store is intended for a general shopping audience and is not directed to children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances requiring parental consent or other legal protections, please contact hello@cuporo.us. We will investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
